Days of Vengeance

And Jesus said, Luke 21:22, For those are days of vengeance, that all things that are written may be fulfilled.

I was in prayer and reading Luke 21 the other morning. Parts of Luke 21 became bold for me and I felt the Holy Spirit say to me that this is something I should write about.

As one reads Luke 21, Jesus is talking to his disciples regarding the temple and how it will be destroyed not one stone left standing. In verse 7, they asked Jesus when will the temple be destroyed?   Then Jesus starts from here and goes chronological what will happen. So, I feel led by the Holy Spirit to point out some keys verses that have stood out in bold to me. I then place in key verses in the way Jesus tells us.

In this chapter of Luke, Jesus is warning us of the great tribulation however, notice I have put verse 36 first for you to read and understand. I have also left it in the order that Jesus applies it as well. Then all the other verses follow. I encourage you to pray first and ask Jesus to make bold his word in your life and then read the chapter for yourself.

Verse 9; [Jesus states that] when you hear of wars and insurrections (disturbances, disorder, and confusion), do not become alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified; for all this must take place first, but the end will not [come] immediately.

Verse 36; [This is the promise of escape to the below verses] Keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

Verse 8; Jesus tells his disciples to be careful that you are not led astray, that many will come in my (Jesus the Messiah’s) name and claim to be Jesus and they will say that the time is at hand (Day of Vengeance).

Verse 12; [This verse is significant], But previous to all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be led away before kings and governors [perhaps judges as well] for My name’s sake. [because claiming to be a child of the King of King’s]

Verse 8; Jesus tells his disciples to be careful that you are not led astray, that many will come in my (Jesus the Messiah’s) name and claim to be Jesus and they will say that the time is at hand (Day of Vengeance).

Verse 9; [Jesus states that] when you hear of wars and insurrections (disturbances, disorder, and confusion), do not become alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified; for all this must take place first, but the end will not [come] immediately.

Verse 10; [Jesus goes on to say that] Nation will rise against Nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom.

Verse 11; [He explains] there will be mighty and violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven.

Verse 12; [This verse is significant], But previous to all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be led away before kings and governors [perhaps judges as well] for My name’s sake. [because claiming to be a child of the King of King’s]

Verse 18; [This is an awesome promise!!!], But not a hair of your head shall perish. [Praise God for he is worthy to be praised!]

Verse 20; But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know and understand that its desolation has come near.

Verse 22; For those are days of vengeance, that all things that are written may be fulfilled.

Verse 25; And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth [there will be] distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity [without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring (the echo) of the tossing of the sea.

Verse 26; Men swooning away [lose consciousness, pass out, black out, keel over], or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter [falter, wobble, flounder and become unstable].

Verse 27; [This will be when all humanity will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings] And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great (transcendent and overwhelming) power and [all his kingly] glory (majesty and splendor).

Verse 32; truly I tell you, this generation (those living at that definite period in time) will not perish and pass away until all has taken place.

Verse 33; The sky and the earth (the universe, the world) will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Verse 35; [Jesus assures us that this is coming] For it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth.

Verse 36; [This is the promise of escape] Keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

Some folks tell me, that if it is gloom and doom that I want to talk about, then they will not have any part in the conversation. This is their way of being in denial of what God’s word is speaking of and warning us about. This is one of the reasons why preachers and ministers do not want to speak about the book of Revelations, the book of Daniel, and ultimately the end times that God warns us of. Think about it, ministers do not want the flak or abrasion from their congregation as they [the congregation] are really saying they do not want to hear what God says, especially if he is warning us of bad things that may be coming. Many, even christians believe that the bible is speculative or tentative. For many people it is painful as this talk of the last days ruins their dreams, goals, and future here on earth. What they do not see is what is going on behind the spiritual veil, that God has a better place for all of us. For myself, I fear and respect God, love him for his truthfulness and word, he is never changing, and I personally see the days of vengeance off in the very near future. Lastly, I wanted to amplify the meaning of vengeance. It is a rendering of full justice or satisfaction. This “end of times” is God’s justice and satisfaction. Since when is God a vengeful God? Read his word, he is not changing, and he has been a vengeful God since the beginning of time. When did God quit becoming a loving God? He has not quit as his word and love is everlasting.

The Narrow Door

In my prayer time I keep getting nudges from the Holy Spirit to write more about this narrow pathway or narrow door. Amazingly, well not really amazing if you know how the Holy Spirit works, I keep getting these thoughts in my head about the narrow passage.

I was reading just the other morning the following in Luke 13: (Zondervan Amplified Version),

23. And someone asked him, Lord, will only a few be saved (rescued, delivered from penalties of the last judgement, and made partakers of the salvation of Christ)? And he said to them.

24. Strive to enter by the narrow door [force yourselves through it], for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.

25. When once the Master of the house gets up and closes the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door [again and again], saying, Lord, open to us! He will answer you, I do not know where [what houshold-certainly not mine] you come from.

26. Then you will begin to say, We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.

27. But He will say, I tell you, I do not know where [what house-hold certainly not mine] you come from; depart from Me, all you wrongdoers.

The Holy Spirit is telling me that someone out there on the other end of this is trying to figure this all out. Below are several points of interest the Holy Spirit has brought to my attention. I would like you to consider these which will help you find that narrow path or narrow door.

1. Mathew 13:8; Then he said, "I tell you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven. (International Standard Version (2008)

2. Mathew 19:14; ... Jesus, however, said, "Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them
away, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these." ...(International Standard Version (2008)

3. Mathew 25:45; Then he will say to them, 'I tell you with certainty, since you didn't do it for one of the least important of these, you didn't do it for me.' (New International Version 2008).

4. Proverbs 8:13; All who fear the LORD will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. (New Living Translation 2007)

5. 1 John 5:13;  write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. (English Standard Version 2001)

6. Isaiah 45:23; I have sworn by my own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on my word: Every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess allegiance to me." (New Living Translation 2007)

Stop where you are now, put all aside, forget about your troubles, disregard the people around you, shut out the sounds, and call on the name of the Lord, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the one and only true path to God and everlasting life. Ask him to come into your heart, to forgive you for every sin you have ever committed, no sin is unforgivable through the power of Jesus Christ.

The narrow path, or narrow door is not an easy one to get through. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can make it happen. How determined are you?

Daughter, listen closely: There are many dark clouds arising in the world.  They are gathering around MY children: those who follow ME with a passion.

 I am watching out for MY own.  I am a GOD WHO is true to MY Word.  I will protect MY bride.  She cannot be touched by MY enemy—as long as she is FULLY MINE and pressing into ME.  He cannot take her soul away.  Her soul is MINE for eternity and MY SPIRIT guards her spirit.  OUR SPIRITS are ONE: MY wife and I.  This is by design—an eternal plan forged at the foundation of the world and no one can pluck MY true bride out of MY Hand.

She has her footing on the Solid ROCK—I am that ROCK.  I am the source of all peace, security, safety, and well-being.  Only I deliver a foundation of wholeness.  I bring serenity and peace of mind in the midst of the storm.   I calm the raging seas of the heart.  I am the Great REDEEMER and COMFORTER.  All is well when you are under MY Care and Keeping: all else is sinking sand and shifting shadows.

The times are too hard to go it alone.  MY enemy lurks around you like a prowling lion looking for who he can pursue and destroy.  Only those who rest safely in the center of MY Will, finds safety.   In MY Will, all who find rest there find the salvation of their soul, right standing with GOD, and resilience against the waves that rage around them in a world of human turmoil.  Only through MY peace of mind, which I give freely to those who seek ME, will the world seem navigatable. 

Children, you must come toward ME now—you must run into MY Open Arms.  Come swiftly, like an elk freed from a trap.  Run to your freedom.  I am that GATE—I am the NARROW PATH, the WAY OUT.  Only by ME can you find freedom…only by MY Blood.  All other doors lead to hell.  Many are in hell because they did not seek ME. 

Come and find salvation for your hungry soul.  Let ME give water for your thirsty spirit.  Let ME bring healing to your mind and your heart.  Only the waves of MY Love rolling over you will carry you.  MY Love is a banquet set before you to taste and enjoy.  MY enemy may offer you what tastes sweet at first, but it will soon become bitter poison leading to your death.

Seek ME for all your answers.  Flee from the trap set for you by MY enemy.  He knows the hour is short and he is bent on your destruction.  Save yourself in MY Blood Covering that I alone can give you to shield you from the judgment deserved for your life of sin against the Will of a HOLY GOD.  Only the ransom I paid for you on a hard cross of death will cover your sin-debt due when you come face-to-face with your GOD: JUDGE SUPREME of the Universe.  MY Holy Name will be vindicated for all those who rise up against ME with unrepentant hearts who will not acknowledge and receive MY Debt paid in full for them.  Shock and dismay will be their reaction when they face their GOD on that day that they render an account of their life. 

All will stand before ME and give an account of their life. MY bride will receive her glory and honor and MY enemies will receive death and eternal destruction.

How do you choose?

Honor ME and humble yourself.  SURRENDER ALL to ME; REPENT for a life of sin; FORGIVE all those around you; INVITE MY SPIRIT to take over your life giving HIM FULL ACCESS, holding nothing back.  Come to ME now.  Your time is slipping away.  MY Warnings are sure.

This is your GOD

The LOVER of your soul…SAVIOR of all mankind
